Blockchain Address

A blockchain address is a digital identifier representing a specific user or account on a blockchain. Cryptocurrency transactions are sent and received through blockchain addresses, analogous to a physical mailing address. Each blockchain address is a unique combination of alphanumeric characters. Because blockchain addresses are unique, transactions between parties can be transparent and secure. Each blockchain address has a private key that creates a digital signature. Each transaction made from the blockchain address uses the digital signature. This digital signature verifies that the transaction originated with the owner of the blockchain address and not with someone else.
