Initial Coin Offering (ICO)

Initial coin offerings (ICO) are a cryptocurrency-based funding mechanism employed by teams or companies to finance new or existing projects in the cryptocurrency space. ICOs involve the creation of blockchain-based digital tokens sold to early supporters, often as part of a pre-product launch to fund research and development activities, marketing activities, or both. Early investors can use their tokens immediately or in the future if they remain valid. ICOs attract investors due to their simplicity and sometimes high returns, despite significant risk exposure.
