Purpose
The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform users of this site of the following:
- The personal data, if any, collected;
- Use of collected data;
- Who has access to the collected data;
- The rights of the site users; and
- The site’s cookie policy.
GDPR – Europe and the United Kingdom
For site users located in the European Union, we adhere to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). For site users located in the United Kingdom, we adhere to the GDPR as enshrined in the Data Protection Act, 2018. EU and UK residents can make requests to have their personal information removed entirely by contacting privacy@meetami.ca
PIPEDA – Canada
For site users located in Canada, we adhere to The Personal Information and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”). Canadian site users have the right to consent to personal data sharing, access the data that has been collected, amend any incorrect data, and withdraw consent. Apart from name, email and free-form text data used within contact forms or information collected to access learning content, AmiLearn does not collect nor retain personal information identifed by PIPEDA as personal information such as:
- Government or Institutional Identification numbers
- Income data
- Ethnic Origin
- Blood Type, or other medical information
- Opinions, evaluations, comments, social status or disciplinary actions related to the user; and
- Any employee files, credit records, loan records, medical records, existence of disputes, or intentions relating to employment or contractual engagements.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. AmiLearn may share information within the organizational departments of meetAMI innovations inc., but does not share any information, including anonymized data with third parties.
How long we retain your data
For users that initiate contact with representatives or designated experts on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provided as part of that contact initated by the site user. Intended recipients of user-initated communciations will have access to this information and subsequent communication with the site user. This data will be retained indefinitely for internal use.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
